Mark Donohue stands in front of the Mercury GT40 Mk II that he and Peter Revson drove at Daytona in 1967. (1st I've heard of a Mercury GT40)

SAI fielded GT40 P1047 at Daytona in 1967.

It was driven by Foyt and Gurney and was in MKllb configuration. The Mercury livery was a one race occurence. P1047 completed many times in various paint schemes.

Here is AJ Foyt driving a Mercury (P/1047) at Daytona on Feb 4, 1967.
P/1047 was a Shelby American entry at this race and was not converted to MKII B specs until it was sent to Holman-Moody after this event.
