Hupmobile Capital-to-Capital car, from August 1917 to Jan 1918 it went out to all the state capitals to promote better roads (and prove the Hupmobile was strong and reliable)


19000 + miles and this was just the lower 48. I bet Montana and Washington were difficult. Lucky for them the state capital of Michigan wasn't in the upper penninsula.

AAA was keeping tabs, verifying the hills climbed, roads traveled etc.
