pinstriping video, from Disney's "Dad, Can I Borrow the Car" , narrated by Kurt Russell

notice they changed the front license plate? California black and yellow plates started with letters on the left, not numbers. And 666, how did that get past censors?

  1. It took me a while to figure this one out. The footage where it appears to show a "666" on the license plate was originally shot panning the opposite direction. So, to get the footage to move from left to right, instead of right to left, they cut the film, and spliced it in with the film flipped.

Then they altered the "now mirror-imaged" UCG 555 to look as much like it does in the other shots. The easiest thing to do was alter to look like 555 UCG, and hope no one notices or picks up on the flip-flop of groups of numbers and letters.

If you mirror-image UCG 555, you see the resemblance to what appears to read "666 COU".

  2. Also at the 1:07 mark, you can see another example of the film being "flipped" to show the opposite panning direction. In this case the rear-quarter panel badge is seen as mirror-imaged.

    1. That I noticed... Pretty messed up that they made a 666 from the plate though... I doubt anyone would have noticed the flipped plate
