Felix Théodore Millet was a pioneer in the self propelled vehicle creators, and had to improvise something to reduce the harsh ride over cobble stones or gravel roads


In 1887, Félix Théodore Millet (1844-1929) invented a tricycle with a motor consisting of a rotary 5-cylinder star. He then climbs it into the rear wheel of a bicycle in 1893, riding a motorcycle. This is the first multi-cylinder motorcycle.


how about those springy front tires? Wow... and they also had the 5 cylinder rotary engine powering the front tire, rotating around the end of the front forks
